A Bite-Sized Interview with Rebecca Hefner
by Donna Soluri
Nothing says good times like diving head first into a bout of wonderful world building. Paranormal romance is the king of world building and to gear up for Rebecca Hefner’s sixth book in her Etherya’s Earth Series, let’s take a little Bite Sized getting to know you stroll!
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I used to be a night owl until I got older. Now, I’m usually in bed by 9pm but I wake up really early. It baffles my mother, who used to have to drag me out of bed when I was a kid!
Do you have a secret talent?
I love karaoke and used to sing in the NYC karaoke bars all the time until the pandemic. I actually have a pretty good voice and love to belt out Gladys Knight and Lady Gaga songs.
If you could be anyone, alive, dead, or imaginary, for a day, who and why?
Dolly Parton. I think she is literally the coolest and kindest person who’s ever lived.
What’s one change you had to make during the pandemic that you plan to keep when things get better?
I love traveling and travel solo often. I spent several months in Japan, Bali, Alaska and other places in 2018. I can’t wait to travel again once the pandemic is under control.
All-time favorite movie or TV show?
Has your idea of success changed over the years, either professionally or personally?
Not really. My idea of success has always been following the path that makes me happy and that allows me to inspire and help others. If I can do that, I feel successful.
